HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D Printing

Cost effective, durable nylon parts in 5 days

3D technology for mass production is the next big thing in manufacturing because it offers flexibility and significant cost savings.

For the production of high volume, end-use parts, we rely on HP’s Multi Jet Fusion® 3D printer. The state-of-the-art system is the first and only commercial 3D printer capable of producing hundreds and even thousands of parts up to 10 times faster than existing 3D printing systems.

Produce Strong End-Use Parts

The HP Multi Jet Fusion printer outputs rugged, end-use production parts that are exceptionally durable yet lightweight with extremely uniform mechanical properties.

In fact, the system prints about 140 different custom plastic parts that are used in its own assembly.

The HP Multi Jet Fusion printer builds functional, geometrically complex parts 80-micron layers at a time - with mechanical properties that rival injection molded parts.

Because the HP Multi Jet Fusion controls part properties voxel by voxel (a voxel is the 3D printing equivalent of a pixel), parts are fused together at a very small level and, as a result, are incredibly strong.

Get High-Quality Parts Consistently

The Multi Jet Fusion 3D system prints individual voxels, the 3D equivalent of a pixel, at a resolution of 21 microns, or about .02 millimeters. That allows for unparalleled control over the finished product – optimizing mechanical and functional properties, so you get unsurpassed quality and consistency from part to part.

Expand the Realm of Innovation

The HP Multi Jet Fusion printer is able to modify material properties voxel-by-voxel (similar to pixels in 2D printing) to produce controlled variability in mechanical and physical characteristics within and across a part. This capability enables a host of new possibilities in the design and function of parts that cannot be produced by traditional manufacturing methods or other 3D printing solutions.

Eliminate Investments in Tooling and Enjoy Just-in-Time Delivery

Finally, you get high volumes of parts on demand without the need to first make large capital investments in tooling. Finished 3D printed parts will fundamentally alter the supply chain.

3D printing technology is ideal for producing functional and aesthetic components of machines, consumer and industrial products with complex internal and external 3D geometries.

The system also enables businesses to plan production times more accurately and predictably and has been shown to cut the cost of manufacturing parts by as much as 50 percent.

Harness the Power of Sustainable Manufacturing

3D printing helps organizations reduce their carbon footprint. Since it uses only the material it needs it can reduce waste significantly. What’s more, it is capable of reusing plastic waste, converting it into printing filaments and creating new products.
